Rural women. Experimental arts and new ruralities

"Throughout the month of October last year, the cycle of workshops "Rural women, culture and new ruralities" took place in different valleys of Cantabria. A project coordinated by La Ortiga Colectiva and supported by the General Directorate of Equality and Women of Cantabria.

Different participatory workshop's formats were developed with rural women from each territory following the topics:
🌱recovery of peasant knowledge facing climate emergency
🌱food sovereignty
🌱experimental arts and ruralities
🌱intergenerational learning networks

We have the participation of two guests per workshop, with the idea of talking about their activity and projects, facilitating some of the sessions and providing other perspectives on ruralities. This video summarises the participation of the artists Seila Fernandez Arconada and Laurita Siles in the workshop experimental arts and ruralities that took place in Valle de Cabuérniga (Cantabria).

"A lo largo del mes de octubre del año pasado tuvo lugar el ciclo de talleres "Mujeres rurales, cultura y nuevas ruralidades" en diferentes valles de Cantabria. Un proyecto coordinado por La Ortiga Colectiva y apoyado por la Dirección General de Igualdad y Mujer de Cantabria.

Se desarrollaron diferentes formatos de talleres participativos con mujeres rurales de cada territorio. Para ello se trabajaron 4 líneas temáticas:
🌱recuperación de saberes campesinos ante la emergencia climática
🌱soberanía alimentaria
🌱artes experimentales y ruralidades
🌱redes de aprendizaje intergeneracional

Contamos con la participación de dos invitadas por taller, con la idea de hablar sobre su actividad y proyectos, facilitar algunas de las sesiones y aportar otras perspectivas sobre ruralidades.
