Seila Fernández Arconada has been granted with the Artists' international development fund by the British Council and Arts Council of England.
She will join Transnational Dialogues, a tri-continental exchange project, across Brazil, China and Europe, to promote sharing information, networking, and conceptual collaboration between individuals and institutions working in different disciplines. Spending a month in China from May 2014, Fernandez Arconada will visit organisations and expand research practice on collaboration and innovative social practices, whilst also generating new artwork and leading a workshop with local artists. Transnational Dialogues culminate in an exhibition in Rome, Milan and possibly London later in 2014. This program is a unique launchpad for the artist's practice and will open up future collaborations.
