My valley (2012)
Sound installation piece.
The installation has different components, minimal square structures (open boxes that surround an interior to be discovered by the viewer).
This water well has an image that can be seen at the bottom through the water. The well water is vibrated by a sound mechanism hidden under the base of the structure (a speaker connected to an amplifier and a CD player).
The sound mechanism generates invisible sound frequencies that are inaudible for humans as they are not part of the audio spectrum (from 20Hz to 20,000Hz). However, this frequency can be seen as the water conducts the sound waveform creating patterns. The rhythmic beat makes visible the invisible while the visible becomes obscured.
