Appearance(2006-2012)
Series of photographical diptychs.
This work is site specific as it is based on the environment where I live (nowadays in Bristol). This project was firstly made in San Felices de Buelna, Spain in 2006.
Installation result of this project is an image captured from the outside of the families´ houses, another one inside the house, beyond the "border" between two realities. In this moment, I asked the families about the image that they think represent their family, a ‘portrait of the house’.
The result is a confrontation of images taken in the Bristol, UK and images taken in San Felices de Buelna, Spain. Different approaches to representation that creates narrative, stories of people lives.
